Atma Unum Fonds, Serie 1 Alter Ego, File 2 Sugar Iris Aggeler Schneider / AUS1F2
Sugar Iris Aggeler constitutes a performative alter ego of Ra'al Ki Victorieux, created created at the end of the 20th century to provide identity to seductive, creative and activist actions. Her body of work is an integral part of the Atma Unum Fonds, a comprehensive collection dedicated to documenting and preserving her artistic and activist endeavors. The artwork of Sugar Iris is organized in the Serie 1 entitled Alter Ego, and the File 2. It is also divided in four areas: 1. Investigation, 2. Blog, 3. Creation, 4. Dissemination, and 5. Reception.
Her portfolio includes projects such as "Pink Serenade," a series of acrylic paintings blending abstract and figurative feminine compositions, and "Venus Genetrix," a performance art documentary addressing themes of femininity, domestic violence, human rights, and pin-up creativity. These works reflect her commitment to exploring feminine semiotics, social justice, and personal expression through various media.
At the dawn of the 21st century, the world faces urgent challenges: systemic inequalities, pervasive violence against women, and the erosion of human rights. The return of the goddess in contemporary consciousness symbolizes a profound awakening—a call for the re-emergence of feminine strength, wisdom, and compassion as guiding forces for societal transformation. It is a reminder that true progress relies on honoring the sacred feminine, advocating for gender equality, and embracing inclusive communities rooted in universal love and respect.
Advocating for women's rights and equality is not merely a moral imperative but a necessary step toward a more just and sustainable future. As we confront global issues like disparities, and political unrest, art becomes a vital tool for resistance and healing. The United Nations Agenda 2030 emphasizes the importance of gender equality (Goal 5) and inclusive societies, urging us to challenge stereotypes, eliminate violence, and empower women and girls worldwide.
In this context, and throughout her artistic journey, Sugar Iris advocates for gender equality, social awareness, and creative empowerment. Her engagement with contemporary issues is expressed through evocative visual art and compelling documentary projects, which aim to challenge perceptions and inspire dialogue —reminding us that love, romance, and compassion are universal forces capable of uniting diverse communities. Her work contributes to a broader mission of fostering meaningful artistic and cultural conversations that intersect with artivism and spirituality. We must harness the transformative power of art to catalyze change, foster inclusion, and remember that our shared humanity is the foundation for a brighter, more equitable future.
